Mortal Kombat 1 released Conan the Barbarian gameplay trailer

Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled two consecutive character reveals. Yesterday's esports trailer offered a glimpse of the T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the immediate addition to the roster. Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, launching next week for premium edition owners, with a gameplay trailer showcased today.

Conan embodies the classic powerhouse archetype. His attacks appear devastating, though his movements lack the speed and agility of some fighters. This might be balanced by his extended sword reach. Matchups against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander promise exciting encounters.

While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacular flair of some others in MK1. His acid-drowning finish is somewhat underwhelming. However, gameplay is paramount, and Conan's fighting style could prove engaging.

Premium edition owners gain early access next Tuesday; everyone else must wait until January 28th.
