This expansion means Alarmo will be readily available at major retailers globally, including Target, Walmart, GameStop, and other authorized retailers.

A Key Change: No More Nintendo Online Requirement

A significant improvement is the removal of the Nintendo Online membership requirement. Previously, access was limited to subscribers. Now, everyone can purchase Alarmo for $99.99 USD.

Initial Release Frenzy: High Demand and Sold-Out Status

Following its initial announcement on October 9th, 2024, Alarmo's popularity surged. Sales were temporarily suspended in Japan due to overwhelming demand, shifting to a lottery system for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Simultaneously, New York City retailers reported immediate sell-outs.

Alarmo's Engaging Features: A Fun Way to Wake Up

Alarmo boasts a unique blend of functionality and fun. Featuring sound effects and visuals from popular Nintendo franchises such as Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 3, it offers 42 selectable scenes with more to come via free updates.

The alarm experience itself is interactive. A game character patiently waits on-screen before gently awakening you with game-themed sounds. A "visitor" then appears, prompting you to get out of bed. Persistent slumber results in a more insistent alarm. The motion sensor allows you to silence the alarm without touching the device.

Beyond the main alarm function, Alarmo offers hourly chimes, sleep sounds, and sleep pattern tracking. For shared beds with pets or other people, a "Button Mode" is recommended.
