PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Slashed to $99.99 for a Year, But Only for New or Expired Members

Sony's offering a significant PlayStation Plus discount in the US and select European countries for expired or new memberships. This limited-time offer, valid until February 24th, equates to the same price for both Extra and Premium tiers: $99.99 for a full year.

Given Premium includes all Extra features plus classic games, game trials, and cloud streaming, Premium is the more attractive option at this price point. However, remember to disable auto-renewal to avoid higher charges after the discount period ends. Existing subscribers can't stack this deal, and canceling your current membership won't make you eligible. Those whose subscriptions expire after February 24th are also ineligible.

The offer excludes the UK and some other regions, and the Essential tier is not included, reflecting Sony's focus on higher-tier discounts. While Essential members can upgrade at a prorated rate, there's no direct discount on annual Essential subscriptions.

This discount coincides with the February PlayStation Plus Game Catalog reveal, featuring titles like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Top Spin 2K25, and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 1. Premium members also gain access to classic games such as Patapon 3 and Dropship: United Peace Force.
