PlayStation Plus Unveils Top 22 Horror Games

This guide explores the revamped PlayStation Plus service and its horror game offerings. Sony's 2022 overhaul introduced three tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. While Essential is required for online play and offers monthly freebies, horror enthusiasts will find a more extensive selection in the Extra and Premium tiers.

Extra grants access to hundreds of PS5 and PS4 games, with approximately 15 new additions monthly. Premium encompasses all Extra's titles plus a vast library of classic PS3, PS2, PS1, and PSP games. This broad selection ensures diverse genre representation, including a strong horror lineup.

Update (January 5, 2025): The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium additions lacked horror titles. Note that Resident Evil 2 will depart the service on January 21, 2025, but its relatively short campaign allows for completion beforehand. Resident Evil 3 remains available.
