Get ready for giant Pokémon! Pokémon GO has officially announced the arrival of Dynamax Pokémon as part of the upcoming Max Out season. This exciting new addition brings massive battles and unique rewards.

Max Out Season: September 10th - September 15th

The Max Out season kicks off September 10th at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until September 15th at 8:00 p.m. local time. Prepare for a week of oversized fun!

Dynamax Pokémon Debut in 1-Star Max Battles:

Initially, you'll encounter these Dynamax Pokémon in 1-star Max Battles:

• Bulbasaur
• Charmander
• Squirtle
• Skwovet
• Wooloo

Catch them all (including shiny variants!), then Dynamax your own collection! Evolved forms can also Dynamax.

More Than Just Big Pokémon:

Beyond the Dynamax battles, the Max Out season includes:

• Special Field Research: Complete tasks for extra rewards.
• PokéStop Showcases: Show off your event-themed Pokémon!
• Seasonal Special Research: A story-driven questline offering Max Particles, a new avatar item, and more (available September 3rd - December 3rd).

Max Particle Pack Bundle:

Stock up on Max Particles! A bundle containing 4,800 Max Particles will be available for $7.99 on the Pokémon GO web store starting September 8th at 6:00 p.m. PDT.

Future Updates:

Rumors point to the arrival of Power Spots next month—key locations for Max Battles and Max Particle collection. While Gigantamax Pokémon remain unconfirmed, Niantic promises further details on Dynamax battles soon. Interestingly, some Dynamax-capable Pokémon will also be able to Mega Evolve, according to a Eurogamer report citing Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla.
