Pokémon Go sees the return of Team Go Rocket for Fashion Week and Ho-Oh’s Shadow Raid Day

Pokémon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over brings a stylish showdown! From January 15th to 19th, battle Team GO Rocket, challenge Giovanni, and rescue Shadow Palkia. This event also introduces Shadow Ho-Oh via a Shadow Raid Day on January 19th.

Two new Pokémon debut: Shroodle and Grafaiai. Shroodle hatches from 12km Eggs. Team GO Rocket's presence increases at PokéStops and in balloons, providing ample opportunities to use Charged TMs to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon.

New Shadow Pokémon join the fray: Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. Shiny versions might appear! Remote Raid Passes allow participation in Shadow Raids from anywhere.

A Special Research task unlocks a Super Rocket Radar, leading to the Giovanni battle and Shadow Palkia rescue. Field Research tasks offer rewards like Mysterious Components and TMs. A Collection Challenge rewards Stardust and a Trubbish encounter.

Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day takes place on January 19th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Enjoy increased Raid Passes, boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rates, and the chance to teach Ho-Oh the Sacred Fire Charged Attack. A $5 event ticket unlocks additional rewards.
