Pokémon TCG Pocket: Trading & Space-Time Smackdown Launch

Pokémon TCG Pocket’s highly anticipated trading feature has finally arrived, launching alongside the exciting new Space-Time Smackdown expansion! This update brings a fresh wave of content for players to enjoy, but the reception to the trading feature itself has been mixed.

Trading in Pokémon TCG Pocket works similarly to real-life trading, allowing you to exchange cards with friends. However, there are some limitations. Only certain rarities (1-4 and 1-star cards) are currently tradeable, and trading requires resources like trade hourglasses and tokens. Despite these restrictions, the addition of trading is a significant step forward for the game.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion introduces iconic Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, alongside the Sinnoh region starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, and much more! This expansion offers a wealth of new cards and gameplay opportunities to explore.

The new trading feature, while a welcome addition, hasn't been universally praised. Many players have expressed frustration with the restrictions on tradable cards and the resource requirements. While the implementation is solid, the numerous caveats have dampened the enthusiasm for some. Ideally, a more open and accessible trading system would have been preferable.
