In Citizen Sleeper 2, damaged dice are a common occurrence, primarily due to accumulated stress from failed actions or starvation. This guide explains how to repair them.
Why Dice Break
Stress is the culprit. Repeated failures increase stress, leading to dice damage. Each die can withstand three hits before requiring repair.
How to Repair Dice

Dice repair isn't available until you reach Far Spindle and meet Bliss, who unlocks the Rig Workshop on your ship. The workshop offers two repair methods when you're not on a Contract:
Improvised Repairs: Costs 2 Scrap Components, fixes one die, but increases the Glitch meter, raising the risk of a glitched die.
Dice Repair: Costs 1 Rare Component (harder to find), fixes one die with a smaller increase to the Glitch meter.
Dice Repair is generally preferred if you can afford the Rare Component. However, Improvised Repairs are viable, especially as Rare Components become more readily available later in the game.
Repairing Glitched Dice
Glitched dice have a 20% chance of success and an 80% chance of failure. While there's no direct repair method, a story event after the "Diagnose Your Frame" drive will fix a single glitched die.
This covers dice repair in Citizen Sleeper 2.
