Rumor: Zenless Zone Zero Leak Reveals Duration of Future Patch Cycles

Zenless Zone Zero's Extended Patch Cycle: A Leak Reveals Future Updates

Recent leaks suggest that Zenless Zone Zero's current patch cycle will extend beyond initial expectations, concluding with Version 1.7 before transitioning to Version 2.0. This contrasts with other HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, which concluded their first cycles at Version 1.6.

Despite launching less than a year ago, Zenless Zone Zero has consistently delivered new content, including characters and features with each update. This success is evident in its nomination for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards and its collaboration with McDonald's.

The upcoming Version 1.5 update is highly anticipated, introducing two new S-Rank playable units: Astra Yao and Evelyn. A new area, events, and a potential Nicole Demara skin are also expected. Leaked information suggests Astra Yao will be a valuable support character, prompting players to begin farming necessary materials in advance.

A reliable leaker, Flying Flame, predicts the following patch cycle structure:

  • Version 1.7, followed by Version 2.0
  • Version 2.8, followed by Version 3.0

This extended cycle indicates a substantial amount of future content. Further leaks from the same source reveal plans for 31 additional characters, significantly expanding the current roster of 26.

The recent Version 1.4 update, while introducing the powerful Hoshimi Miyabi, faced criticism regarding alleged censorship. However, HoYoverse swiftly addressed the issue and compensated players. Version 1.4 is anticipated to conclude in late January.

While Version 1.7 remains months away, the imminent Version 1.5 update offers plenty for players to anticipate. The extended patch cycle suggests a commitment to providing ongoing content and differentiating Zenless Zone Zero within the HoYoverse portfolio.
