Stalker 2 Side Quest: Discoveries Unveiled

Embark on a side quest in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl – "For Science!" This guide details how to initiate and complete this mission, encountering NPCs and navigating challenges along the way.

Initiating "For Science!"

To begin, locate Yaryk Mongoose in the Central Elevator area within the Chemical Plant. Upon approaching, you'll hear a radio conversation initiating the quest. Head left past conveyor belts, ascend the rusted stairs, and vault the railing to reach Mongoose on the first floor. He'll explain the need to activate a second measuring device atop a silo. Accepting his request starts the quest.

Reaching the Silo's Summit

Exit the room and climb to the building's roof. Eliminate any rodents encountered. Climb through a broken window and descend a ladder to an exterior walkway. Jump to the silo walkway, equipping your boltcaster to counter electro anomalies. Proceed left to activate the device.

Dealing with the Aftermath

Activating the device attracts Bloodsuckers. Choose to fight or evade them. Return to Mongoose to discuss the unexpected outcome.

Confronting Mongoose

Mongoose will explain the experiment's results. You can choose to kill him or accept his reward (Malachite Pass and coupons). The choice has no significant long-term impact on the game. The Malachite Pass grants access to the STC Malachite facility, unless already obtained through main missions.
