Ubisoft's Star Wars Outlaws Underperforms, Outsold by Jedi: Survivor

Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft's foray into open-world Star Wars gaming, is facing significant challenges. Initial positive reviews upon its August 2024 launch have been overshadowed by player criticism of its combat and stealth mechanics. These issues, while addressed in subsequent updates, haven't reversed the game's poor sales performance.

Ubisoft acknowledged in September that Outlaws fell short of sales projections, leading to a sharp drop in the company's stock price. This underperformance is further highlighted by reports indicating that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, released in 2023, has outsold Outlaws.
