After a long wait, mobile and console players can finally experience the massive Stardew Valley Update 1.6, launching November 4th, 2024. This update, initially released on PC in March 2024, brings a wealth of new content.
What's New in Stardew Valley 1.6 Mobile?
This update significantly expands the multiplayer experience, supporting up to eight players simultaneously – double the previous limit! Collaborate with friends on farming, fishing, and building projects. Two exciting fishing festivals, the Trout Derby and SquidFest, join the existing seasonal events, including the Desert Festival.
Explore the new Meadowlands Farm map, ideal for raising livestock and convenient fishing opportunities. Over 100 new NPC dialogue options enrich interactions with the town's beloved characters.
Discover a host of new items, including the spacious Big Chest, a handy dehydrator, a heavy-duty furnace, and a helpful bait maker. Expand your customization options with new furniture styles and over 25 stylish hats. Earn prize tickets from quests and festivals, redeemable at a prize machine in Lewis's home.
Update 1.6 introduces the ability to own multiple pets after maximizing your initial pet's affection. These adorable companions may bring gifts, and now they can wear hats! You'll also notice NPCs sporting winter attire.
A golden Joja parrot assists in locating elusive golden walnuts on Ginger Island. Cultivate new crops, including carrots, summer squash, broccoli, powdermelon, and two giant crop varieties.
Reasons for the Delay
The delay in the mobile and console release allowed the developers to thoroughly test the update on PC, ensuring a smoother experience for all players.
