I'll be straightforward: George Miller is my favorite filmmaker. He's the creative force behind not one, but two of my most cherished film franchises: Mad Max and Happy Feet (yes, a sequel to Happy Feet exists, and it's worth looking up). I admit, I tend to get a bit carried away when talking about Happy Feet.
In reality, the Mad Max films brilliantly merge the chaotic energy of early '80s action cinema with a uniquely surreal depiction of a post-apocalyptic Australia. Following the release of three films from 1979 to 1985, it appeared the series would remain a trilogy, a memento of a past cinematic era. However, after that unexpected detour into animated penguins, Miller made a sudden and triumphant return to the franchise that launched his career.
With Tom Hardy stepping into the lead role originally made famous by Mel Gibson, Mad Max: Fury Road debuted in 2015 to widespread critical praise, eventually securing six Academy Awards. While the latest installment, Furiosa, may not have matched its predecessor's commercial performance, I firmly believe the Mad Max series stands as one of the greatest action franchises ever made.
As we mark the 10th anniversary of Fury Road, I strongly suggest a complete Mad Max movie marathon. Here is your guide to streaming every Mad Max film online.

Director George Miller has helmed five Mad Max movies, including the recent Furiosa. Currently, only the very first film and the newest chapter are available through streaming services. Interestingly, you can find both of these titles on Max.
For the other films in the series, your options are primarily limited to Premium Video-On-Demand platforms like Prime Video. There are also high-quality Blu-ray editions available, which are listed below.
If you prefer building a physical media library, you can purchase all the Mad Max movies on DVD and Blu-ray, including the Black and Chrome version of Fury Road.

To watch the Mad Max saga in chronological order, you could view the original trilogy by release date and then watch Furiosa before Fury Road, as follows:

That being said, I find Furiosa is most impactful when saved for last in your viewing order. Similar to other great prequels, many of Furiosa's most powerful moments resonate more deeply when you already have knowledge of the characters from Fury Road.
George Miller had previously indicated that the future of the Mad Max universe depended on Furiosa's success. Unfortunately, the prequel did not become a massive box office hit. On a positive note, his comments suggest the director still has more stories he wishes to tell within the Mad Max world.
This prospect gained more credibility when Deadline reported that Miller "has a script" ready for another Mad Max film. This is likely in reference to "The Wasteland," a long-rumored follow-up to Fury Road. However, Miller is also known to be involved in other projects, and a new Mad Max film would require major studio backing for what would undoubtedly be another hugely expensive production. They absolutely should fund it, but a new movie might not materialize in the immediate future.
