Valheim Merchants Guide: Find Traders Fast

This guide details how to locate and utilize the three merchants in Valheim, each offering unique and valuable items. Finding these merchants can be challenging due to the game's procedurally generated world.

Locating Valheim Merchants

Valheim's gameplay centers around exploring biomes and defeating bosses. Three merchants offer respite and valuable supplies:

1. Haldor (Black Forest Merchant):

Haldor, arguably the easiest to find, spawns within a 1500m radius of the world's center. He resides in the Black Forest, often near The Elder's spawn point (located near glowing ruins in Burial Chambers). The Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) simplifies his location. Once found, build a portal for easy access. Trade with him using gold obtained from selling gems and other materials.

2. Hildir (Meadows Merchant):

Hildir is located in the Meadows, but her spawn is further from the world center than Haldor's. The Valheim World Generator is recommended. Alternatively, search Meadows within a 3000-5100m radius from the center. A T-shirt icon appears on the map when nearby. Build a portal once found. Hildir offers clothing with stamina reduction buffs and quests leading to chests containing additional items. These quests involve defeating mini-bosses in various biomes.

The Bog Witch, found in the Swamp biome, is located between 3000m and 8000m from the world center. Her cauldron icon appears on the map when you are close. The Valheim World Generator is highly recommended for this merchant. She offers items for cooking and mead crafting.
