While World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event has concluded, exciting activities continue to engage players awaiting Patch 11.1 later this year. The return of the Turbulent Timeways event offers a unique reward for those who skillfully manage the Mastery of Timeways buff.

Turbulent Timeways Event Explained

Unlike the usual staggered Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features five consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons (January 1st to February 25th), each week highlighting a different expansion:

• Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
• Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
• Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
• Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
• Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
• Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
• Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)

Completing a Timewalking dungeon grants a "Knowledge of Timeways" buff (two-hour duration, persists through death), providing a 5% experience bonus from quests and monster kills. Four stacks of this buff upgrade to "Mastery of Timeways" (three-hour duration, persists through death), boosting experience gain by 30%. Completing another Timewalking dungeon refreshes the buff timer. Maintaining four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways without letting them expire is crucial to obtaining Mastery of Timeways. Avoid extended AFK periods to prevent losing stacks.

Turbulent Timeways Rewards

Beyond the leveling benefits, this event offers valuable rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, previously available during Dragonflight's Turbulent Timeways, is purchasable for 5,000 Timewarped Badges from Timewalking Vendors.

Additionally, acquiring the Mastery of Timeways buff during five out of the seven event weeks unlocks the new Timely Buzzbee mount.
