Following reported delays in the Xbox certification process, Microsoft has issued an apology to Jyamma Games for the setbacks experienced with their debut title, Enotria: The Last Song.
Microsoft's apology to Jyamma Games follows concerns over a two-month delay in processing the game's Xbox submission. This delay led Jyamma Games to announce an indefinite postponement of the Xbox release earlier this week.
Jyamma CEO Jacky Greco previously voiced frustration on the game's Discord server, stating that Microsoft's lack of response indicated a lack of concern for both the game and its players. However, following Microsoft's intervention and apology, Jyamma Games shifted its tone.
On Twitter (X), Jyamma Games publicly thanked Phil Spencer and the Xbox team for their swift response and assistance in resolving the situation. The studio also acknowledged the significant support from their player community, highlighting the impact of player advocacy.
Jyamma Games confirmed that they are now collaborating closely with Microsoft to expedite the Xbox release, though a concrete release date remains unconfirmed.
Greco further elaborated on Discord, confirming Microsoft's apology and their collaborative efforts to resolve the outstanding issues.
While Jyamma Games addresses this issue, other studios have also reported challenges with Xbox releases. Funcom recently revealed optimization difficulties with their Xbox Series S port of Dune: Awakening.
The PlayStation 5 and PC versions of Enotria: The Last Song are still slated for release on September 19th. However, the Xbox release date remains uncertain. For more information about Enotria: The Last Song, please follow the link below.
