Xbox Game Pass Updates Quests, Rewards: Key Changes

Xbox Game Pass introduces Quests and enhanced Rewards for PC users, exclusively for players 18 and older, starting January 7th. This update expands reward opportunities with daily, weekly, and monthly quests, including the return of weekly streaks.

Key improvements include:

  • Quests Expand to PC Game Pass: PC Game Pass subscribers (18+) can now participate in Quests and earn rewards.
  • New Quest Types: Daily Play (10 points for 15 minutes of gameplay), Weekly Streaks (points increase with consecutive weekly participation, up to 4x multiplier), Monthly 4-Pack and 8-Pack challenges (playing four or eight different games for 15 minutes each).
  • PC Weekly Bonus: 150 points awarded for playing at least 15 minutes for five or more days a week.
  • Age Restriction: Access to the Rewards Hub and all new quest features is limited to players 18 and older. Younger players can only earn rewards through parent-approved purchases.

This update simplifies the reward system, offering more frequent opportunities to earn points. Maintaining weekly streaks significantly boosts point accumulation. Players can earn points daily through gameplay or by exploring the Game Pass catalog through monthly challenges. Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate gaming experiences with this age restriction on the new reward system.
