KonoSuba: Fantastic Days to Conclude Service in January 2025
The popular mobile RPG, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, developed by Sesisoft, will be ending its service on January 30th, 2025. Both the global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously after nearly five years of operation.
While the game's closure is unfortunate, developers are planning a limited offline version to preserve the experience. This offline version will reportedly include the main storyline, major quests, and events, allowing players to revisit their favorite moments. Details regarding the offline version's release and features remain scarce.
In-App Purchases and Refunds
In-app purchases were disabled on October 31st, 2024. However, existing Quartz and in-game items remain usable until the service ends. Players who are eligible for refunds on unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 have until January 30th, 2025, to submit their requests. Official game channels will close on February 28th, 2025.
A Look Back at KonoSuba: Fantastic Days
Launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game adaptation of the popular KonoSuba franchise. The game's charming narrative, appealing visuals, and visual novel-style story mode were generally well-received.
Unfortunately, like many gacha RPGs, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days has succumbed to the challenges faced by the genre, including maintaining player engagement and managing the high costs of development.
If you haven't already experienced KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, you have a few months left to do so before the servers close. Download it now from the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, check out our coverage of Orna: The GPS MMORPG's Conqueror's Guild.
