Many dungeons in Metaphor: ReFantazio feature formidable mini-bosses before the final encounter. Even while grinding for XP, these enemies, often marked red in Fairy Sight, necessitate squad combat. The Faithwight Magileto in the Spire of Blind Faith is a prime example—an incredibly challenging foe requiring strategic prowess and a bit of luck.

This level 50 enemy can summon additional level 50 foes, making battles below level 45 ill-advised. The Faithwight Magileto wields potent dark and light magic, targeting individuals or the entire party with devastating spells like Megidolaon. Passive buffs amplify the damage of these elements. Furthermore, it uses Soul Scream for extra Press Turn icons and can summon level 50 skeletons.

These summoned skeletons employ powerful slashing attacks and dark magic, boasting a potent buff and access to high-level healing spells, often restoring the Magileto to full health. Their weakness to Strike attacks highlights the crucial strategy: prioritize eliminating them.

Even at level 50, this battle is exceptionally difficult; below that level, it's nearly impossible. To improve your chances:

  • Acquire Dark Dodge from the Magic Knight.
  • Acquire Light Dodge from the Healer Archetype.
  • Skill Inherit Strike skills from the Brawler Archetype.
  • Utilize the Warlock Archetype's resistance to dark and light damage.
  • Leverage the Thief Archetype's dark damage resistance.
  • Carry Tetrabreak to counter Tetrakarn used by summoned enemies.

Archetype selection is less critical than maximizing the above points and avoiding weaknesses to dark, light, or slash damage. With many Archetypes unlocked, prioritize Strength-heavy options using Skill Inheritance. Ensure at least two party members possess party-wide healing spells and equip Strike attacks on everyone to maximize Press Turn Icons and mitigate damage.

Expect some luck; consecutive Megidolaons are nearly unsurvivable. Equipping Dark and Light Dodge on most party members helps shorten enemy turns. Eliminate summoned allies swiftly before they heal the Magileto. Dekaja can dispel enemy buffs, but the core strategy involves at least six Strike attacks and two party-wide healing spells per turn.
