Monster Hunter Wilds has achieved a remarkable feat by selling over 8 million units in just three days, making it Capcom's fastest-selling game to date. This impressive milestone comes despite the presence of some bugs within the game. Dive in to discover more about Capcom's achievement and the latest updates for Monster Hunter Wilds.
Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has set a new record as Capcom's fastest-selling game, with sales exceeding 8 million units within three days of its launch. Capcom proudly announced this achievement on their official website, marking MH Wilds as the quickest title to reach this sales milestone in the company's history.
The game's success was evident from the start, as reported by SteamDB, which showed MH Wilds reaching over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite receiving mixed reviews. Capcom credits this success to their extensive promotional efforts, including participation in global video game events and an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.
In response to player feedback, Capcom has released a hot fix patch, Ver.1.000.04.00, for Monster Hunter Wilds on March 4, 2025, across all platforms. This update tackles several bugs that were hindering player progress, including issues with the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking as expected, the Monster Field Guide being inaccessible, and a critical bug that blocked story progression in Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down." Players are required to update the game to continue playing online.
However, not all issues have been resolved yet. Some bugs, such as network errors when firing an SOS flare after a quest begins and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks not inflicting stun and exhaust damages, remain unaddressed. These multiplayer-related issues are expected to be fixed in an upcoming patch.
