DC Studios has debuted a new Superman trailer showcasing three minutes of the highly anticipated film.
Directed by James Gunn and set for release on July 11, 2025, the movie features a diverse ensemble of superheroes and villains. The trailer highlights Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, effortlessly repelling foes, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and a vivid portrayal of The Engineer by María Gabriela de Faría.
The trailer reveals The Engineer as the force behind the destruction of robots tending to Superman in the Fortress of Solitude, likely including Kelex. (A previous trailer showed a distressed Superman holding Kelex post-battle.)
Krypto the Superdog also shines, delivering a soaring strike against The Engineer in the fray. Clearly, Krypto is ready to tackle villains head-on.
The trailer offers glimpses of Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) and Ultraman in action, alongside more of Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan’s Rex Mason / Metamorpho. The Hammer of Boravia, teased in yesterday’s trailer, appears as anticipated. (This new character, created by Gunn, is believed to be Ultraman in disguise.)

The relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane takes center stage, with Lois interviewing Superman. Their exchange sparks tension as they debate the morality of Superman’s intervention in a foreign war (“I was only acting for myself... and for good!”). The Hammer of Boravia retaliates by attacking Downtown Metropolis in response to Superman’s actions.
In a striking moment from the battle with The Hammer of Boravia, a citizen aids Superman, pulling him from a crater. This contrasts with scenes of the public berating Superman and hurling objects at him.
